Abstract

The study attempts to establish a descriptive definition of the intuitive process, using the term philo-sophia (love of wisdom) in its original linguistic sense, as a point of departure for showing how Japanese aesthetics and religious perceptions, and certain analogies in Daoist meditation, can lead to a clearer vision of the intuitive process.
