| Abstract | The article offers information on "The Religious Realm of Jianxi during the Song Dynasty 960-1279," a dissertation by Hsin-I Mei. According to the author, the thesis analysis the religious world of Jiangxi along with its developments regarding religious beliefs, interaction with Daoists exorcistic traditions and popular cults as well as the changes in the community, culture and local societies. In addition, the author notes that in the progress of the study the absence of Laozi's characteristic reference is visibly felt and the conclusions of the research would help its readers gain a better and essential understanding Daoism and Confusianism. |
