| Abstract | The article inquires into the origin of human beings inspired by the models of cosmogony by Confucianism and Daoism. It mentions that Buddhism lacks such doctrine which is open to challenge by other religions on such issues such as the origin of human beings. It cites the Buddhist teaching knows as Tathagatagarbha Thought which stresses that the pure state of mind or reality is one's original state which is already there. |
