It is my sad duty to inform you that Professor Liu Ts'un-yan died on Thursday August 13 here in Canberra. He was 92. His funeral will be held next Monday, August 24 at 11.00 am in University House at the Australian National University where he worked from 1962 until his retirement in 1982. He was living at home and working hard until he went to hospital on the Monday before he died.

His daughter Selena has asked that any messages of condolence you may have for his children and grandchildren be sent to me, and I will pass them on.
