| Abstract | The article provides information on the Southern Marchmount in Hunan, China, and features an academy at the bottom of the mountain. Southern Marchmount is one of the five central Daoist mountains in the country, with a long history of living masters. At the bottom of it, there is a temple called Damiao featuring the Academy of Female Daoists, which part of the Chinese Daoist College. Huang Zhian, president of the Hunan Daoist Association and vice president of the Chinese Daoist Association, manages both the academy and the mountain. |
